Weekend 2009 April 3rd &
4th You are invited to the Annual Geomatics Weekend
at the University of Florida. The Geomatics Student Association has
many exciting fun-filled activities planned for the weekend. We would like you to come celebrate with
the students, faculty, and your former classmates. Meeting with alumni
provides inspiration and encouragement to current students in setting their
career goals. We do hope you will be able to attend. *Notice: A change has been made to the
schedule and the formal banquet has been eliminated this year. This change
has been made with the approval of some of the alumni and was made to save
everyone some money. In the past the formal banquet has been quite an
expense and having the banquet so late in the day causes people to have to
stay a second night in the motel. Ironwood Golf Course has a banquet hall and
we have put together a less formal barbeque dinner for everyone to enjoy.
Another change is the shotgun start for the golf tournament. This year
we will start the golf tournament at 9A.M. to give everyone a chance to make
it there on time. The tentative schedule for
the weekend is given below. We will be posting any updates to this schedule
on our website www.geomatics.ifas.ufl.edu
